8U Nats defeat Newport 13-2 in 2nd Round Game

In second round action, the 8U Nats defeated Newport Little League 13-2.

The bats came alive early and remained steady throughout the game. The Nats had 17 hits in 3 innings as Kelly Quick, Greyson Allen, Ben Gauder, Clayton Piersol and Luke Sullivan had multi-hit games. Bo Braden, William Towsend and Piersol scored 2 runs each. The game was highlighted by a triple from Allen and a two-run double by Ryan Atkins.

The Nats move on to play Wilson LL in afternoon action on July 6.
