8U Nats move on to semifinals after beating Wilson LL

The 8U Nats defeated Wilson Little League to secure a 3-0 record in pool play and locked up the #2 seed.

The 8U Nats will now play the winner of the game between the #3 seed South Durham Orange and the #6 Wilson Little League on Sunday, July 7 at 11:00 AM in Wilson.

The 8U Nats top of the lineup - Kelly Quick, William Townsend, and Grayson Allen - got off to a hot start and combined for 7 hits for the game. Cleanup hitter Will Tabacca drove in two runs and Luke Sullivan also had a solid day at the plate, contributing with two timely hits.

Sullivan also made a "web gem" in the outfield, laying out to stab a Wilson LL line drive. Quick, Ben Gauder, Allen and John Lynch also contributed by making solid stops to thwart Wilson LL's momentum throughout the game.
